Abstract
Systems scientist, cultural historian, and futurist Riane Eisler will address the urgent question of why despite some forward movement, there have been so many regressions to authoritarianism, violence, and domination worldwide. Drawing from her multidisciplinary, cross-cultural, trans-historical research she will focus on four cornerstones on which these regressions have continued to rebuild themselves, and how we can change this.
Bio:
Riane Tennenhaus Eisler (born 22 July 1931) is an Austrian-born American systems scientist and author who writes about the effect of gender politics historically on society. She is most known for her 1987 book The Chalice and the Blade, in which she coined the terms "partnership" and "dominator."
